ILLUSTRATIVE OPERATION (See picture lower left):

1 - Hex-head bolt threads easily into a spring nut, connecting fitting to channel in one quick one-hand operation.

2 - Chamfer in the nut eases starting of the bolt. Nut teeth create a strong, vise-like grip when tightened against the inturned channel edges.

3 - Channel edges and the nut's tapered grooves act as guides to provide fool-proof alignment of connection.

4 - Nut teeth create a vise-like grip, tying sides together in a strong “box” configuration, when the nut is tightened against the in-turned edges.

5 - Spring allows precision placement anywhere along channel length, then holds the nut in position while connection is completed.

Specifications

Material:

Unistrut channel nuts are manufactured from mild steel bars, and after machining operations are completed, they are case hardened, assuring positive biting action into the inturned edge of the Unistrut channel.
The standard channel nut conforms to ASTM A576 GR 1015 modified and A1011 SS GR 45.

Application:

All parts drawings illustrate only one application of each fitting. In most cases many other applications are possible. The channels shown in the illustrations are P1000, 1-5/8" square, except where noted otherwise. All 9/16" diameter holes use 1/2" x 15/16" hex head cap screws and 1/2" nuts depending on the channel used. Nuts and bolts are not included with the fitting and must be ordered separately.

All threads on the nuts and bolts are Unified and American coarse screw threads.
